WORK SAFELY IN THE VICINITY OF LIVE ELECTRICAL APPARATUS FOR NON ELECTRICAL WORKER

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker. It includes compliance with safe approach distances for the worker, plant, tools and equipment. The application of the skills and knowledge described in this unit may require a licence/registration to practice in the workplace. Other conditions may also apply under state and territory legislative and regulatory licensing requirements which must be confirmed prior to commencing this course.

Confined Space

CONFINED SPACE SENTRY/STANDBY (2 DAY)

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to undertake the safety observer role for working under a confined space permit. This role may also be called a hole watcher, a fire watcher or sentry.

Confined Space Enter and Work (1 Day)

A program for those who need to enter, work in, or inspect confined spaces. Not recommended for Safety Standby / Observers, see Confined Space Advanced for Standby Training.

Confined Space Enter + Work Gas + BA - 2 day

In depth course for those entering/working in a confined space where there is a potential for toxic vapours/gases. Designed to teach participants how to identify confined space hazards, work safely within confined spaces to an issued permit and operate confined space equipment.

Confined Space Enter, Work Gas, BA Rescue + Standby- 3 day

This program involves the Initial & Intermediate course plus it covers rescue in more complex confined space environments as a team member or a member of a single agency. The application of this unit in the workplace covers a range of confined space rescue situations and rescue by personnel from the organisation where confined space work is undertaken. This course is recommended for standby and safety observers. MSMWHS216 -Operate breathing apparatus & HLTAID009–Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation have an annual recertification period

Confined Spaces Refresher - 1 day

Review training in previously awarded units, relating to confined space activities.

Gas Test Atmospheres - 1/2 day

Training is suitable for those that may be required to challenge test the gas monitor and gas test an atmosphere prior to enter or work in a space.

Operate Breathing Apparatus - 1/2 day

Competence associated with the operation of breathing equipment in a potentially dangerous atmosphere.

Issue Work Permits - 1/2 day

This course ensures that staff responsible for issuing permits have the required knowledge and skills to do so.

Working at Heights

Working Safely @ Heights Refresher - Half Day

Program for those who have already completed their work at heights training and need to be refreshed.

Work Safely at Heights - 1 Day

Program for those that are required to safely work at heights or depths including heights rescue.

Vertical Rescue Training - 4 days

A unit for vertical rescue operations by rescue teams, typically performed by emergency services, emergency response teams and/or other operational teams. Tasks include performing rope rescue to extract a co-worker who is injured or suspended.

Program designed for those that require the knowledge and skills to operate first response fire fighting equipment.

Fire Warden Training - 1/2 day

Designed to provide learners with skills knowledge and experience to perform duties of an area warden.

Chief Fire Warden - Full day

This course is relevant for people who are required to perform the leadership role of Chief or Deputy Chief Fire Warden at your workplace. Including the prerequisite: PUAFER005 – Operate as part of an Emergency Control Organisation

Tower Rescue Refresher - 1 day

Tower Rescue Refresher training encompasses preparing and responding to an emergency requiring a tower rescue, appropriate risk assessment & risk control requirements and the skills and knowledge required to perform a tower rescue.

Tower Rescue Training - 2 days

Those who may be required to work on towers or similar structures and covers the performance of tower rescue procedures as an emergency procedure required in the work place. This training is very physical.

Work safely with industrial chemicals and materials - 1/2 day

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances, identifying the particular hazards, emergency procedures and observing safe working practices.

Provide Advanced Resuscitation & Oxygen Therapy (HLTAID015) - 1 day

This course deals with the provision of advanced First Aid resuscitation techniques, life support, and management of casualty(s) until the arrival of medical or other assistance, and provision of support to other providers.

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) - 1/2 day

For those who require the necessary skills to provide CPR to a cardiac arrest casualty.

Provide First Aid - 1 day + pre-work

This program is to provide participants with training in basic life support and in the first aid processes and management of all injuries.
