UETDRMP005 - Perform elevated work platform rescue

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to perform an elevated work platform (EWP) rescue in the electricity supply industry (ESI) environment.

It includes the organisational workplace requirements for the inspection and use of EWP retrieval systems and how it applies to ESI workers to meet Work Health and Safety (WHS)/Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), mobility and mutual aid requirements.

Note: Those holding an existing ESI or Electrotechnology qualification or equivalent meet the prerequisite unit requirements.

Prerequisites

Evidence of completion of the following units of competency must be provided to training@zokal.com.au prior to entry into this course.

HLTAID009: Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

and

UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace

OR

TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work platform (boom length11 metres or more)

OR

UETDREL006 Work safely in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker

Course Logistics

Requirement: Provide UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (USI number) and ID
Students must have industry experience.
Students must have a basic level of literacy and numeracy skills.
Students must have a reasonable level of physical fitness due to the task requirements of this course.
Students must complete and return the PRE-ENROLMENT QUESTIONNAIRE prior to attending for the course
